CMHA – Calgary Region is a publicly funded non-profit organization that promotes mental health and wellness through a number of community-based services for families, individuals, groups and associations. As component of a major national association, the Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region has been in the forefront of mental health for over 50 years. We concentrate on proactive education about the significance and incidence of mental health difficulties, and positive manners of handling them, such as knowing when and where to turn for support.
We also provide caring support for those needing services like Assisted living, homeless outreach, office mental health, recreation, advocacy, suicide bereavement support, and group supports for kids, households and individuals. At the same time, we work closely with neighborhood organizations to bridge gaps in the mental healthcare system and ease access to important resources and services.
We lead the way to a better future by fundraising to improve our Programs and enhance access to these critical mental health services. At the same time, we work to enable people in Calgary and area to Live better through preventative strategies and psychological health innovations focused on balanced living.
